So... what your saying is: I should load up all the leaves from my neighborhood up and dump them in your yard, correct?

No, not mine. The neighbors.

The would be AWESOME.

I returned home yesterday to this anonymous note taped to my fence.

Well... Daks did. She grabbed it and had hunted down the jerk and yelled at him before I arrived. She's very efficient.

DUDE!!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I opened up the mailbox one day to a letter, no return address, with only my address (not my name). Opened it up and the letter was typed up on a computer with nobody's name on it. They basically berated me cause we had a few leaves, and there were some pallets at the side of the house we were planning to use to make garden beds. They said we had no pride of ownership, blah, blah, blah. Wish I could find it.
I'm with you. I hate neighbors. I guess they typed it up so I couldn't get some writing analysis done on it and find the person. Course I lived in a neighborhood of old retired people who either had all day to work on their yards or had services come in and do if for them. Pricks.

of course, you could just offer to let them gather the leaves for their Mulch pit...

Glad I live in a neiborhood with a bunch of rentals...nobody gives me a hard time if I don't mow the lawn for weeks at a time. It doesn't hurt that I OWN the duplex I live in.

Well, I have three huge maple trees in my front yard.

But, the trees have been there before the both of us were born.

They're huge. At least 60-70 years old.

Which means they were there when he bought his house.

Boo-Fucking-Hoo. I'll rake when I get the time.

HEAR, HEAR ENCAP.

I'm with you all the way. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but stuff like that pisses me off. Your neighbor has cars up on blocks in his yard, fine, complain... he's running a meth lab from his house, definitely complain... his yard looks like the opening scene from Sanford and Son, complain away... BUT... if the yard hasn't been mowed for a while, the leaves are piling up a bit, or there are a few weeds in the garden? LEAVE 'EM ALONE.
I've had people tell me what color my house can and cannot be, I say as long as the property is being kept up (and yes that is subjective, but lets be reasonable here) and isn't a COMPLETE eyesore, cut 'em some slack. Not everyone is meticulous about their yards.
Okay, off the soapbox now :)

Put a big sign in your yard that says you're too busy enjoying your all-too-short-and-precious life with your family to worry about something as shallow as asthetics, especially those condoned by nature herself.
