The Fox News gabber, whose The O'Reilly Factor is the highest-rated cable news show and a favorite among conservative Republicans, filed suit against one of his producers Wednesday, claiming that she and her lawyer tried to extort $60 million from him in exchange for not filing a sexual-harassment complaint against him.

Yeah... whatever.

The guys a slug from what I understand. He's trying to discredit her sexual harassment lawsuit (you didn't hear about the attempted blackmail until AFTER she filed suit).

One would think that he would have gone to the authorities immediately if someone was attempting to blackmail him... especially if the allegations were false.

You mean someone from the esteemed Fox "News" Network would be engaged in tactics of denial and misinformation? I... I... I don't know what to say. I'm... shocked.

He filed first...

Up till then he was negotiating with her lawyers...when they demanded $60,000,000, he decided they weren't really motivated by the "hurt" but the money they could get from it.

She even came back to work for him AFTER the harrassment was supposed to have happened...

Note there isn't a criminal trial...only civil on both sides.

It's not as if they were moral, just (seemingly)conservative. I don't need to elaborate on how there are no innocents in the news media.

Bugs, its very telling how you characterize FOX. I won't be debating this matter with you.

No need. They replace content with shrill noise a lot of the time.

I checked them out for a while, both tv and web, but they annoyed me over time. I think they equate conservative with simple, and flavor accordingly.
