It's.....
ALIVE!!!
The new server (Woody) came online around 4:00 pm PST today. A huge thanks to Jester on this... as it never would have happened without his help (he had to recompile the linux kernel before it would boot from the 3Ware 9500s raid controler).
We plan to migrate the data off the current machine starting next weekend and shut the old server down afterwards. There might be a disruption in service... but only for about 30 minutes (at most!)
Yeah... the cables aren't tied up all the way yet... but at least I got 'em off the fans
