I am in the Netherlands again...I am going to find those stroopwafelthingies, I promise.

I am here to train a guy from the Middle East, Saudi Arabia to be exact and I find out that he has a Visa to travel to the US, its valid until the end of October.

This is really unremarkable EXCEPT my original training plan for this guy involved him coming to the US. The guys in the Service depot here can do a much better job of teaching this guy how to repair a Hand Held computer than I can. Why couldn't they, they do it every day, all day. I support the Hand Helds, but from a systems perspective.

DAMN IT! It seems that the more I work with the people involved in running Europe, the more pissed off I get.

I have to travel to the Netherlands, away from my family, and comfort, because I was told this guy couldn't get a Visa. F***ing liars! I *WILL* have a conversation with the guy that made this decision, and I *WILL* let him know that I am displeased with it.

This is it, I am not doing this stuff for Europe any more. I think this is the first time I have ever said this, but "Its not my Job"

Fuck 'em I'm tired of it.

Stroopwaffels? Too sweet for my taste. You should be able to find them - I assume you are in Amsterdam? We found 'em in Rotterdam and Amsterdam when I was there in '97. You can get the street vendor version, or they have 'em packaged like cookies or candy in the stores.

They also have "french" fry stands there, complete with multiple dipping sauces...go figure (they were tasty, tho'. I think the stands were called "Verse Patat" or something like that.).

Sorry that the circumstances spoiled the trip. Chew 'em (not the stroopwaffels) slowly and leisurely (hey, the guy's a Saudi - mebbe your Europe section thinks they are all murderous fanatics - "Can't be too careful...." Still lame

)

Amsterdam is totally fun! I'm going on vacation again next month. To Israel, visiting a friend who lives in Jerusalem.

Got it...to Israelis, I'm American. To Palestinian Arabs (and when there is doubt), I'm Canadian (hope they don't get the accents).

Palestinians love Americans too, the only thing keeping them for being obliterated by the Israelis is the fact it would piss the US off
