Just hanging around ... on meat hooks

Post by Pigman » Sun Jul 18, 2004 4:08 pm

Strange new pastime for Florida youth baffles authorities.

There were no laws against sticking meat hooks into yourself and hanging from a tripod on a sandbar, Brazil added, according to the newspaper.

Kind of reminds me of the Arapahoe Sun Dance, only without the religious significance; 'Uhh, dude, we were “just enjoying the afternoon.â€￾'

There's nothing new about that! I watched friends of mine be suspended/scarred/pierced/branded/blahblahblah almost ten years ago, and that was up here in Alaska, where pop culture is hopelessly behind. Modern primitives, if anything, are over.

God I sound smug. :) Heh.
