How was your fathers day?

Post by bio » Mon Jun 21, 2004 1:13 am

Fathers day was killer on the home front!

I got a cordless rechargable weed wacker, giant chocolate chip cookie, and baloon. My wife made me beer butt chicken for dinner (mmmmmmm!), poured me some lovely Rossa Spumanti, and helped me get my groove on (which isn't easy when in a brace). :D :D

Ahhh... yes. Life was good!

Oh yeah... we also sold the motorcycle (fingers crossed!). We just have to call the bank and link up with the buyers bank. If everything goes well, we'll be shopping for a new one by weeks end!

Well glad to hear MOST of that bio. Coulda done without the groove thing, she is my SISTER and all.

I hit the lake with some friends who have a boat. It was nice and relaxing. We spent the morning volunteering at our church's daycare, so I got to work with a bunch of 2 year olds. Wasn't as bad as I thought, just keep 'em all interested in toys. Luckily my wife and the other lady did diaper duty. :)

Now my wife is on the night shift for the next 2 days, so I get to bach' it. :D Basically it means I can sit around in my shorts eating junk food and watching TV until way too late at night. Yeah, I'm a jet setter.

Heh... I called the bank today to find out what it was gonna take to sell the bike and get pre-approved on the replacement.

I ended up refinancing my wife's Durango at 3.99% (I was at 8.9%).

They're giving me either 3.99% or 4.5% on the bike, depending on the the length of the contract (36 or 48 months).

Most excelent!!!!

I went and watched rockets fly and provided ground assistance and tracking...

Put a transmitter I designed into a rocket to track it after flight (for recovery) and was able to track the rocket to 18,500 ft! Hell of a flight...

nothing like spending fathers day away from the family, doing what you like to do without the constant "are we done yet" looks and comments.

yeah, I'm a dork, what did you expect?
