What's in a name...

Post by purrcat » Tue Jan 20, 2004 8:52 pm

ok, not that I'm in a family kinda way, but as a girly girl and still kinda newlywed, I've been thinking of baby names. Boys are easy. Girls are hard. So I thought about going all ancestral with my Norwegian blood - the hubby is also of Norse descent.

I submit for your approval, the name I have chosen, and it's norse meaning...
FRIGG f Norse Mythology
Pronounced: FRIG
Means "beloved" in Old Norse, ultimately derived from Indo-European *pri "to love". In Norse mythology she was the goddess of the earth, air and fertility, and the wife of Odin.

I'd have to concur, you're setting the little guy up for daily beatings.

Just the opposite for me: boys names are hard, girls are easy. I have a list of around 20 girls names I love, but almost all the boys names I like are made fun of by my friends...
