Tonight is the night!
I finally convinced my wife that we should go watch the new Matrix film. I'm still a blank slate on it, so I don't entirely know what to expect.
I do know that many people are unhappy with the way the story worked out.
Today's also the day that I said "fuck it" to the morphine and stopped taking it. It's great at dealing with pain, but I hate the side effects. Unfortunately... my body isn't entirely in agreement with my decision to forgo taking any more.
I feel like complete shit.
Tank, Load the Jump Program...

Scratch that.
I didn't make it to the movie last night. We're going to try for Saturday now.
And I'm back on the morphine. It's a bigger monkey than I care to deal with at the moment. The combination of withdrawl symptoms and the ever present pain I had yesterday was quite exquisite.
Quiting it now just means that I'll have to suffer through the withdrawls now and then again after the surgery (because I'll have to take them when they're done turning my back into so much hamburger).
My wife said "Why do you want to go through this twice?"
Can't argue with that logic.
Woot... I'm a junky!!
