Happy Pumpkin Day!

Post by bio » Fri Oct 31, 2003 1:28 pm

At work, we celebrated by having a chilli cook-off (I passed), costume contest, and the kids from the day-care across the street coming over and begging for candy.

I'm almost glad that my back is toast... I dont have to take the kids trick-or-treating tonight (my wife is going to do it). It was 80 degrees (26.7c) last friday, today it's 20 (-6.7c).

Brrrrr!

What are your plans?

Well .... your wife is taking me trick or treating.....

in return for which, my wife will man your door and take care of the trick-or-treaters...

I'm kinda hoping you will help me with my costume, you being the master of special effects make up as well as webmastery...

and i will of course be bringing over some halloween cheer in the form of a crate or two of alcoholic beverages in order that you might forget the woes of backache...

winter ales it is...

oh and pumkin ale. which you will be trying, wimp

I am heading over to my brother's house. He has 3 new beers ready, one of which is a mocha porter. YUM!

Take me with you!!!!

There used to be a beverage made by Red Hook called Double Black Stout that was to die for. It was brewed with Starbucks coffee and tasted a little like heaven!

BTW - these emoticons look funny when you put on above the other.

My brother started home brewing about a year ago, he hasn't made a skunky beer yet. They just keep getting better and better. He went and got the coffee beans from one of the local roasters here. I can't wait to try it. You should come up here for a visit!

So did you participate in the costume contest?

I remember seeing a pic of you from last year, freakin' hilarious.

I (still at Spectrum) pulled out my karate gear and...

Office Karate - tie, pager & cell phone, black dress belt...seemed like a funny idea. Until I had to explain it about 15 times.

Still at work - hate end of month - going over to gf's sisters house after a while for pizza and (I hope) beer.

I spent all day Halloween finishing my fawn costume and dealing with a fussy Enid, who has a nasty cold. Then around 8:00 I left her with Colin and went out with some friends to get roaring drunk. Weeee! Pictures later!

I'll have to check my email, because your link didn't work. Hmmm.

I may have to give you webspace on my server for things like that :-)

In the meantime... here's Jester's pumpkins from Halloween. Yeah... you've seen similar things before, but it's still damn funneh!!
