No dignity for you...

This makes me angry.

I understand her parents fighting for her because of their loss... but she's not there any more.

This should have been ended as per her wishes over a decade ago.

Feel free to disagree.

don't forget that the govenor of Texas signed Legislations specifically designed to allow this poor woman to continue to live, despite her expressed wishes and those of her husband...

ANOTHER Bush (Jeb) to the rescue.

Just have to love it when the right wing Christians are making all the choices here...

I don't believe the husband gives a rat's ass about her. It's all about the benjamins.

this is a bad one to call... i guess the lesson here is to make it quite clear to everyone involved, parents, spouse, friends what your wishes are after your death, leave a will, something that can legally prove your wishes... i feel bad for both sets of parties here. The husband may be motivated by money but who can say that he isnt motivated by her wishes prior to her illness. Her parents may be right in that she could one day recover. What is upsetting is the use of the emotive language. She is not being EXECUTED as her parents are saying, if the feeding tube is removed and she rises from the bed and walks to mcdonalds then she will live, however unlikely the situation seems. If the medical experts really say that there is nothing more can be done for her then is it fair to leave someone in that state day after day with absolutely no quality of life to speak of, and that would include surely the fact that her family, husband and friends cannot continue with their lives until this is resolved. If you believe in God and she's done the best she can in her life then she'll go to a better place, if you dont then maybe you believe it will all end for her when she dies, no more pain or frustration.

wow, who the hell am i to rant about this

feel free to ignore, i do that sometimes
