This indictment has just been filed by the US Attorney's office against a spammer/spoofer. If you are interested, read the actual indictment link pdf for the actual detail.

"If convicted, Carlson faces a maximum possible sentence of 471 years imprisonment, $117,250,000 in fines and a special assessment of $7,800."

It's the first case of its type and if the Attorney wins, could mean reeeeaally baaaad news for spammers! yay!

I like that "special assessment" part, like 471 years in prison and 117 million in fines isn't bad enough!
