New Xbox games
Okay, so 2 new games are out. Rockband 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The first is Xbox 360 only right now, the second is multiplatformed. Anyone have these? If so, what's your take? I'm definitely getting Star Wars in the next week or so, but wondering if RB2 is worth the money right now.
I downloaded the SW demo for Xbox and liked it a lot, so unless the story line sucks it should be pretty good. And I have RB1 so... any opinions?

Re: New Xbox games
I got the demo for my PS3 as well, and decided that despite the fact that I liked it a lot, I wanted the new Godfather Blu-Ray set more. Somehow me and games just don't connect. For the story, I got the book.
As for Rock Band, I only know how to play in the real kind. Not the plastic toy variety.
Which makes me like Randy in that episode of South Park.

Re: New Xbox games
Baldy has the first Rock Band, and as cheesy as it is, it's incredibly fun!
Of course, when we play it, Baldy's on drums, my sons are playing bass and lead guitar, and either my sister or I are singing (I love singing Faith No More's "Epic"... my voice is perfect for it).
It's a group thing... playing solo may not be as much fun. Your results may vary, value 1/20 of a cent, rinse, lather, repeat.

Re: New Xbox games
I did eventually get Force Unleashed and while I recognize it isn't a game for advanced gamers, I also enjoyed the hell out of it, both for the story (which was actually painted a little thinner than was advertised), but also the gameplay. It is very accessible. And it is also the first modern game I've played and beaten.

Re: New Xbox games
I stay away from console games as much as possible.
I just cant get my head around that little controller doohickey.
Besides, my PC is at least eleventy billion times faster, with better graphics, and I get my keyboard and mouse. Why would I even want to play on a console?

I'm on my second run of Force Unleashed so I can of course see the "other" ending. I'm guessing you suffer somewhat the same fate, just in a different way.

Re: New Xbox games
I'm on the second run of Far Cry 2 for the PC (the video they show after you provide your age is actual game play... not some cinematic trailer).
While you can get that for the XBOX, the PC version kicks much ass. Of course, you'll need 3 way SLI to truly appreciate it (anything less and you'll have to turn the video settings way down... might as well buy the console version).
