How was your 4th of July?

Post by bio » Wed Jul 05, 2006 8:24 am

Things at Casa de Bio were pretty laid back.

We launched a few fireworks in the front yard (which is totally against the law, but I'm a criminal and stuffs), and then went to our back deck to watch the fireworks launched from the baseball park.

Apparently... there were none to watch.

There were supposed to be fireworks according to the schedule, but perhaps the OMG HUGE thunderstorm that was rolling in made them change their minds.

We did, however, get some pretty good pictures of lightning. I'll get them off my digital camera and post them on toneparsons.com tonight.

How was your 4th?

The fourth? Just went to sleep, only to be woken up by Nature's Fireworks...got back to sleep after the booms stopped.

The FIRST on the other hand, rocked. Went to a friends house, blew shit up and had a grand old time.

I won't tell you how I did it, but the boom I made you could feel, and rolled through the valley for a good 10-15 seconds.

OH, Psychoducky posted your pictures...

Yeah, the 9th inning of the game and the fireworks were cancelled cause of the weather. Fireworks will be done after the game tonight... provided the weather doesn't repeat.

I spent the evening at Anthony's (the restaraunt not the persons's house), on the balcony. Had a great view of the fireworks over the falls, as well as nature's fireworks. As soon as it was finnished we paid the ticket went inside and the rain started. So we just waited for the valet to pull the car up, got in and off we went. Was one of the best 4ths I've had. No fighting the crowds, no hassel. The meal was quite spendy so I think next year we'll just go for desert.

That's great... because tonight I have to work graveyard (actually, tonight and tomorrow night too). That means when I'm trying to sleep, I get to listen to "BOOM!! BOOM!! KA-BOOOOOOOM!!!".

sigh.

Hey, I could make you something to fight back with! Just use reasonable caution...and always run faster and farther than the pyrotechnician!
