i recently bought a new computer so I cave the old K7 to my wife who primarily uses it for internet and music. it was having connectivity problems so I took it apart and noticed that it was incredibely dusty. so I started cleaning it. the cpu fan especially was very clogged and I was worried that the processor was overheating. i took off the fan and the top of the chip was stuck to the bottom of the fan (i guess it HAD been over heating). it was just the chip cover, so I had hoped that if I put the fan back on it, it might work. but no, it power cycles constantly now. (with the chip removed it stays on just fine so i'm sure it's the processor.
