She Wants Revenge

I am nutso over this band. They have four songs you can listen to on their myspace site. Sorta reminds me of older Depeche Mode though a little more sexy.

That's actually not bad stuff.

It reminds me more of older Psychodelic Furs (minus the horns and the brittish accent, of course) with just a touch of Echo and the Bunnymen and a subtle hint of Sisters of Mercy.

Does that make sense?

Anyway... good catch. I like it! :-)

Makes sense absolutely. I'm not as 80s savvy but I knew the sound it remind me of, leave it to you to put it into better terms.

If you haven't already check out Interpol, the video for "Evil" on their label's website is fricking CREEPY. I'm really digging them too.

Yeah, I just heard them a couple of weeks ago and I'm impressed.

We've got an awsome station here that plays a LOT of new indipendent labels/bands. Every Friday, "The new music show" is cool as hell. They record the whole show and put it up on the web after broadcast here.

Also were I to point to an awesome Seattle station I would recommend KEXP.

If you listen while playing WoW you get double exp.

That's just the extra mile you just won't get from a Clear Channel station.

KYRS though is pretty random. I couldn't tell you if we play "She Wants Revenge" or not. It's likely one of the DJ has played it.

There's this thing called the INTERNET and it has independant music 24-7. Mainly I listen to Alt-X radio or Dr. Modern (a denmark station i believe, and Indie Airplay.

You do what Jester did.
  1. Rip car stereo out of vehicle
  2. Install 7" Touch screen LCD display where stereo used to be
  3. Build PC that fits under seat
  4. Wire PC so that it goes into standby when the car is turned off, restores when care is turned on
  5. Add wireless NIC
  6. Install net stumbler, drive around town finding unsecured wireless networks.
  7. Enjoy
It honestly works pretty damn well, and he installed a ROM player so his kids can play all their favorite console games. It's full of mp3's and videos too.

I soooo want that for my car :-)
