Forum downtime

Post by bio » Thu Dec 29, 2005 11:44 am

I'm taking the forum down for a while.

Downtime will begin at 11:00 AM PST

It will be back up when it's back up.

And it's back up.

Not bad, doing a full reinstall and reconfigure in < 17 minutes :-)

And it was down and up again today.

We were using the Debian package for the forum until I discovered that it was 5 versions old, so I updated to the newest version yesterday.

Today (actually about 15 minutes ago), the kids at phpBB announced a new version.

All forums on this box are now updated (again!).

Hot, wet, and sticky.

Somewhat unrelated, we're having issues with the AC in our little corporate NOC, I've been up there for 3 hours trying to figure out what we can turn off and what we can't. It's been about 130F in there for a bit, so...

Now I'm a hot, wet, and sticky geek :o

Um... I know where you work.

You can shut them all off. Really... no one will notice. :-)
