It is a balmy 13 degree's this morning.

Tonight it is suppose to get down to 5.

According to my car... it was a tropical 12 degrees (-11 c) this morning. Oh yeah... I love living this far north! My damn car barely turned over this morning.

Don't forget to put winter windshield washer fluid in your car and run it through the lines. If you have summer fluid in there... it freezes at 20 degrees (-6.7 c) and will rupture your lines and tees.

Oh... and if you come over to Casa de Bio... be careful on the front steps. There was a little melt last night before the temp dropped and now my front steps have about an inch of ice that resists my best efforts with a shovel to remove. I'll pick up some more de-icer on the way home (hopefully the mail carrier doesn't slip and smash their brains out today).

Ok, I went out there and almost all of the ice off of your steps. It was a pain, but it will be worth it.

Screw the windshield wash. I am just praying that the Diesel in the truck isn't gelled over in the morning.

Heh... since it's supposed to get to the toasty warm temprature of 0 (-17.7 c) tonight... that's a real posibility.

It was 2 friggin' degrees at my house this morning... 5 in the valley by where I work.

That's cold.

Thankfully, my car started right up (though it took about 15 minutes to warm up enough to drive).

Brrrrrrr... frosty!

It's somewhere between 40f to 60f and overcast in the Seattle area, but that's because it's a day that ends in "day".

The only good side is that if this persists, we should not have a pest problem next summer to speak of - yellowjackets, etc...

OTOH, if we get some real subzeroes, we could all be changing batteries.

That's rather dramatic, given that you guys are usually only 10-15Â° warmer than us in the winter....

It was still damn cold this morning... 5 degrees F by the tried and true Suzuki Aerio thermometer (in my car... it's actually quite accurate... go figure).

As for Eve's report of the weather down under... IT'S FRIGGIN SUMMER THERE!

No complaining!

I'll just be glad when this cold snap ends and we're back to the toasty and tropical 20 - 30 degree mark that we're used to. Oh yeah... shorts and tank tops are the rule, fo' sho'!
