Buzz Aldrin kicks ass!!!

Post by miftah » Wed Nov 16, 2005 7:57 am

Apparently this clip is old, but its awesome nonetheless. Those guys were all tough, no-bullshit cowboys who regularly flew aircraft that were capable of exploding in a fireball any second. They'd be damned before they let some snot-nosed, snarky Canadian conspiracy theorist get in their face and call them a coward. And this is exactly what they should get.

Go Buzz!!!

I don't much blame Aldrin. His whole life is based on his career as a astronaut. You go trolling for trouble, you usually catch a smackeral.

I gotta say that this is a large reaction to a small "insult".

Of course, I understand it. I imagine in the ~40 years since he went to the moon he has been ask 100's of times why he lied about being there. The fucktards just don't want to believe that they actually made it to the moon. I suppose that after being ask that question hundreds of times, that one would tire of trying to convince the id10t's that it really happened. Adding insult to injury, Buzz was pby just out for an evening with his family, or shopping and the fucktard with a mic and camera show up to hassle him.

I would have been sorely temped to bust the guy in half...

I don't know RD, I agree it should take quite a bit before throwing down, but that reporter was acting pretty aggressive and I can see why he reacted as he did. I think it would be different if he was less "in his face" so to speak but still making the same accusations. I totally agree that the accusations alone don't warrent it, it's just some dumbass, but his demeanor is fairly aggressive and I guess for me that's what does it. I might even have popped the guy, and I've never hit anyone (other than my brother, and he deserved it :) ) before.

People are too bold these days. Back in days long before I showed up, people thought twice before calling a man's character into question. Now, any asshole with an opinion seems to feel justified walking around, impuning anyone they feel like. More people need to be popped in the mouth for this kind of behavior. What the hell happened to humility?

Eddie, I think you missed my point...I agree that Buzz should have decked him.

Without understanding any of the history (which I do...) at face value it seemed like an extreme reaction to a situation where he could have just walked away.

But if some dick like this guy came up, stuck a mic in my face and started calling me a coward and a liar for some arbitrary reason, I'd be inclined to knock the shit out of him. Especially if it was something that others had done the same thing to me before...

If you talk enough smack, someone will open up a can of whoop-ass on you eventually.

If you look at the clip with Buzz again you a see that the interviewer had been talking to him before all of this took place (the camera man quickly repositioning the camera). And to be fair Buzz did ask him to "get away from me". I think the word coward is what made him snap.

What strikes me funny is why does this idoit think he would tell him if it was fake.
