My wife called from the shelter last night asking if it would be alright if she picked up a new kitten.
Of course, I said yes.
So now we have one, female and quite young. No name has been found yet. She is a polydactyl with
7 toes on each foot.
Any suggestions for a good name?
Edited for toe count content.

Ptolly is a great name!
I think she looks like an Annabelle, but that's not nearly as clever as Ptolly.

My first thought was to name her SATA or RAID, but those were both shot down pretty hard (I've had cats named Modem, Icon, and Switch).
The wife isn't down with the geek naming convention.
We did, however, discuss E.T. yesterday for the same reasons that eddie did, and also thought of Polly (but not spelled cleverly as miftah thought). Both are good names but don't seem to fit.
Ugh... it'll come to us

Well I was thinking Copernicus because of the pillow in the picture. Then Luna. I like Luna a lot.
So these are my non-smartass ideas:
Copernicus
DeVinci
Schrodinger
They were men, true, but these were all their last names, so its possible. The last one is there just to crack me up, but I would name my cat that so...
And I guess Luna or Solaris if you want good girly cat names.

Oh man... if the cat were male... that would be
THE name.
Luna is pretty spiffy though... I'll pass that one past el Wifie-o.

Here's the list of names I just sent my wife (she shot "Luna" down):
Asahi - an exceptional Japanese beer
Keiko - Name of Orca whale in the movie "Free Willy"
Meeko - The raccoon from Disney animated historical movie "Pocahontas"
Nikko - Japanese for "Cat"
Neon - could be cute
And my personal favorite (because of her color): Oreo.
Oh.. and my dad suggesed "Hanford" (in reference to what might have caused all the extra digits).

What about SEVEN, like that Sienfeld episode were George wants to name his first child Seven and then the other couple steal it from him.

Historical huh? I didn't realize the musical numbers were a matter of history.

I discussed this matter with my wife, after she saw the pics, we concluded her name was Annabelle.
You can call her what you like, but that's her name!
BTW, she looks like a Turkish Angora, better get some ear plugs.

I like the name Meeko! I had a cat named Oreo once. The kitty looks a little like mine...except for the toes.

I can't resist...
Seven of Nine.
Seven Toes, Nine Lives, etc....
