Wow, how insightful

Okay, buddy IM'd me this from Bill Simmons column. He's a sports writer but covers quite a few topics and is funny as hell. Here's one from his "Quote of the day" section:

"I wish all the mean people, if you want to be mean to each other, just buy a country together and blow each other up. Then we'd have no terrorists left. Like, don't kill innocent people for no reason. It's not fair. We love everybody. We'd even like them if they said they're sorry. It's not fair that innocent people are getting hurt. Guess that shows why's she's relegated to hosting a "Reality TV" show on E!

I liked when MTV went and was asking musicians about the invasion of Iraq.

Jack White told MTV that he's a rock musician, and wouldn't have much that was valid to say about it.

Meg White didn't say anything. (That's pretty normal).

M. Manson weighed in and said that he'd rather talk about the Mid-West, since he knew more about that.

This is not to say that I prefer my entertainers unopinionated. But some real answers, instead of trying to make something up and sounding dumb, is welcome.

Manson is actually pretty damn bright (if not very articulate).

It is refreshing to see people in the public spotlight who keep their mouth shut when they have no idea wtf they're talking about. Now, if can just figure out a way to shut Pat Robertson's yap... all would be good.
