I guess it's a good thing they killed him off in one of the movies... as he's not gonna be able to appear an another one now.

He was my favorite off the original series.

Scotty actually appeared in a NextGen episode called "Relics", which ended with Scotty flying off to explore in one of the Enterprise-D's shuttlecraft. That is the last we see of Scotty on the Vids.

Captain Kirk was the one who got killed off in "Generations".

That was the episode I was thinking of... but I apparently remembered it wrong.

He was on a ship that crashed on a Dyson Sphere and managed to survive by beaming himself into the buffer of his transporter. The NG crew got him out.

Apparently, he's going to find his final resting place in the final frontier.

They plan to launch is ashes into space come september.

I can't think of a more fitting tribute to the man.
