With the OMG XBOX BIG LOL!!!1 thunderstorm last tuesday night, I found a fatal flaw in my house:
The shingles are A) cheaper than a very cheap thing and B) held on with some bubble gum and a prayer.
So... once again, we get to kiss the hot-tub fund goodbye, and I'm paying someone to come and redo the roof.
I'm not exactly sure who is going to do it yet, or how much it's gonna cost, but I'm fairly sure I'll be selling plasma for the next 6 months just so I can eat lunch.
*joy*
In totally unrelated news, I'm one red hot sexy bitch. Oh baby! You know you want some!
Goodbye Hot-Tub fund

We want to leave our current company... but if I make a claim, that won't happen (no other company will touch you if you do).
On the dog front... I might have a home for her. Someone my sister works with has a rotty, lives in the country, and is looking for another one.
This could be a good thing.

Double post *w00t!*
Of the 5 roofing firms I called, 4 showed up and 3 have submitted a bid.
You're supposed to get at least 3, so I'm golden in that department. You're also supposed to toss out the high and low bid, so I guess the choice is made.
The highest bid was $1,375, the low was $250.
I'm going with the $1,200 one. It's a total re-roof with tear off, replacement of the paper, and clean-up. This is only for one side of my roof (the south side). The rest of it is pretty damn good.
As for the $250 guy... he wanted to replace the shingles at the top of the roof and put glue on the rest.
mktks bye.
