Life is a joy when a project is transferred to you.
It's even better when forget to notify you about thus said transfer.
Nothing has been done, no supporting documentation has been sent, and they need this thing I know nothing about by yesterday. Trying to pull information out of people is a convoluted mess of meandering thoughts, as they dropped the project and don't know where anything is any more.
Of course, they didn't order the servers or the software before passing it off.
Combine that with the fact that I'm in the middle of a data validity test today that will require 120% of my time and can't allocate myself to this other project today and you get the recipe for ultra-violence in the workplace.
I need a vacation, a new job, and a rocket launcher (not necessarily in that order).

grumble...

Hey, feel free to try and find another job in this shit market that will allow you to wear jeans, dye your hair bizarre colors, let you run a forum, websites, and avatar pimp service right from you own cube. I know it sucks now, but just think of all the shit other people have to put up with.
Oh, and they don't censor our email or internet.

I came from thus said shit job.
Don't get me wrong... I love the company I work for. They pay me well and for the most part treat me very well. If I could just find a way to cancel the whole co-worker effect, life would be sweet.
On a brighter note, I was able to fix the trunk timing issues with the Dialogic cards for DQE today, and my part of the DVT is going much better than anyone elses (I knew it was coming and had my servers configured in advance).
The company is basically stuck with my ass till they grab me kicking and screaming and drag me out the door.

DAMN .. the last job I had before this one, had this part where they actually expected me to die for em!bio wrote:I came from thus said shit job.
At least our present company only requires us to work till we WISH we were dead.
I agree though ... I would LOVE my job if it weren't for so many users....
