The halon system in our NOC is currently unhappy with life.
They are doing some remodeling in the building, and because of the welding, the fire alarms in the NOC have all gone off (it's damn loud, and the stobe lights are going full force... like a bad techno club). This, of course, might trigger the Halon fire supression system.
For those who aren't familiar with halon: it displaces oxygen and puts out fire. It will also kill anyone unfortunate enough to be in there when it goes off.
There's absolutely no fucking way I'm walking in there (and yes... It's worth losing my job over). We'll see how things work out.
You can't pay me enough...

Are they still using Halon over there? Apart from the fact that it kills you if you happen to be in there, it has like an afterlife or asbestos-like action after the fact - the dust can kill you if you breathe it in for years afterwards (funny, was having a chat about this very thing at work yesterday).
They replaced our halon system with something else a couple of years ago, don't know what with tho.

Locked in a room with you, 2 tigers and a gun with 2 bullets, I'd shoot you twice.
