Speaking of new jobs

Post by AsaJay » Fri Feb 18, 2005 9:59 am

Most everyone at the lazy-I ranch now know, I'm leaving.

Today is my last day. I took an associate engineering position with Trident Systems, Inc. in Spokane.

I'll be expanding my knowledge and experience in areas I found most appealing while working at Itron. My manager at Itron gave me a lot of good opportunities to grow, to learn and to work outside the norm of my job description. It's been a wonderful ride and I've worked with so many good people.

There are many relationships I will continue to maintain after I leave. After all, friends are friends.

It's a tough thing to leave a company after 10 years of service, especially when you aren't being forced out the door. This move was voluntary, and it's hard to leave, while at the same time, exciting to move on.

Well, that about sums it up. I'll still be in touch. :)

All the best, AsaJay!

Started the new job yesterday. Things are good. :)

I'm sure some of you may see me terrorizing the neighborhood, as Servatron is one of our vendors. I'll probably be there late this week or early next, as we have some product coming off the line.

It's cool, except I lamented most of the day yesterday having to work in Windblows on my new PC. It's rough after having used a Linux box for over three years as my primary. I think I'll get another box just as soon as I can.
