Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Post by mudflap » Wed Feb 16, 2005 12:04 pm

Slated to be released on April 29, 2005.

The trailer is available for viewing at Amazon.

Cast list:

Martin Freeman .... Arthur Dent
Mos Def .... Ford Prefect
Sam Rockwell .... Zaphod Beeblebrox
Zooey Deschanel .... Tricia McMillan ("Trillian")
Bill Nighy .... Slartibartfast
Warwick Davis .... Marvin the Paranoid Android
Stephen Fry .... The Book (voice)

Mos Def is playing Ford Prefect which I find a bit odd, but he's a funny go. I just don't know if he'll be able to capture Ford's particular idiosyncrasies but we'll see.

Took a look, and although it doesn't match the BBC version from years ago, it -does- look very much worth seeing. ;)

Used to watch the original on BBC2. I have a DVD of the entire series, but if the entire movie is as good as the trailer on Amazon .. the special effects could really add something!

I am going to go see it!

Ohhh....I'd be more than happy to store a back up of that DVD for you!

Not much money on the original was spent ... but the clever dialog and bizzare events more than made up for it.

I like the poetry that was fatal to listen to and the 2 headed dude.

I don't know if the DVD can be made into a backup....
