How Many Rest Rooms do we need?

First, forgive me for talking to RocketDork this afternoon about his man/woman issues...

BUTT .. this got ME thinking..

Why do we have separate bathrooms for Men & Women?

Well I for one am glad they do. It's bad enough I have to sit next to some guy and listen to his movements, I don't really want to listen to women as well. Yes I know we all do it, but it doesn't mean I need to experience it with them.

well .. are there other reasons as to why the separation? Is it because we don't want to drop our pants in a room where we have someone who is (or should be) sexually attracted to us?

Honestly? No, I really don't have an issue with that. I really just can't stand listening to other people taking a crap. Me and my wife don't even interrupt each other when we're "doing our business". For me, there are just some things that you should do in private. So it's not so much the "dropping my pants" in front of someone I might be attracted to or might be attracted to me, but there is that "mistique" that I would rather not have ruined my listening to a lady taking a dump. Yes, I know they do it, but I don't want to be present for it.
