Cold turkey time

Post by bio » Tue Jun 15, 2004 10:19 am

Apparently it's cold turkey time for me.

No more morph. I went from 120mg a day to 0.

I may not post much for a bit. Not feeling too good.

Wheeee!

I can't believe they aren't weaning you off! The whole cold turkey idea is cruel! :(

Good luck biobutt, I'll be thinking of you a LOT over the next couple of days.

I'll give ya an update.

I feel like poop! Big stinky piles of poop.

:poo: :poo: :poo: :poo: :poo: :poo: :poo: :poo:

Shaky.... guts all funky... no sleep... yadda, yadda, yadday. It'll get better (hopefully soon, because my youngest son has a birthday on Saturday and I'd like to not be his "junkie dad" durring his party).

Thanks for all the kind words and stuffs. Team BRHF is the BEST!!

Belay that.

I can be stoic all I like, but the simple fact remains:

Drugs > Me.

I thought I could pull this off, but that seems pretty stupid now. I called my neurosurgeon. Apparently, my wife had called just a few minutes earlier.

So… I’m going back on the drugs and doing the whole “gradual reductionâ€￾ gig. It’s not what I want, but it beats the hell out of where I am.

Well I have to admit, it seemed kinda crazy to just cut you off like that. I think the gradual thing is the way to go. After that much for that long, cold turkey is just down right mean. Hope it goes better for ya.

It's killed men, going cold turkey. Seriously. I thought it was insane, but it was under advisement of a doctor so I had to be wrong. Glad to see they're revising the approach.

Stay strong.

Awesome. I couldn't stop picturing you writhing in sickness on your bed, locked in your room like in Trainspotting
