Defend your iPod

Post by moe flam » Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:22 am

I'm trolling for new music. Here's the last 5 albums I've listened to, based on dates in iTunes. What are y'all listening to?

Decemberists - Crane Wife (they must have been history majors??)
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (liked it the first time through, thanks miftah)
Judas Priest - Essential Judas Priest (raised in the 80's, what can I say... this is a great one)
Mobius Band - Loving Sound of Static. Good stuff. Downloaded on a whim, good alt rock'ish.
My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves. Their older album, but 'Golden' is a song I have to hear every couple days.

I'm on a big TV on the Radio kick since I saw them Saturday (A-MA-ZING). Past that, listening to a lot of DJ Mixes by Victor Calderone, solo Peter Murphy, Mogwai (Zidane and the Fountain soundtracks, specifically), and Frank Black's Christmass and Fastman Raiderman.

Man, I freakin' gotta order Christmass.

I saw him play "The Water" live... and I'm in love with that song.

I've been listening to Viktor Vaughn, The Coup - Pick a Bigger Weapon, Decemberists - Crane Wife, Racontours, and Gogol Bordello.

I saw that half of Christmass was recorded in OR or WA and thought you might have been at the shows. I got it for $18 from a local indie shop.

Ooo I haven't even tried to get it at a local shop. The read the label doesn't have US distro, and kinda stopped there, since international shipping takes so freakin' long.

We have some awesome rekkid stores here. I will have to investigate.
