According to Google, warm temps and heavy use lead to the longest Hard Drive life...

But I wonder what that means to us light users?

Somehow I had a sneaking suspicion. Most of the drives we replace in our storage network (over 1000 drives) are on virtual luns that recieve very little use. Seems the disks we use to archive data go out about 10x faster than those used for real time transactional stuff.
