The night security guard also rides a harley.
He claims that there was an article in the latest edition of Iron Horse Magazine about the new clean air standards for motorcycles.
In a nutshell, he said that they're going to introduce catalytic converters on '06 models and it will be against the law to A) remove them or B) replace the exhaust pipes.
It also places restrictions on the production of custom bikes... to 2 per month per shop.
Anyone out there read this? I tried to google it, but about 40 billion things came back (he didn't remember enough specifics to narrow my search).
If it is true... I am so buying my pipes this year. I don't wanna get screwed and stuck with those whisper quiet stock baffles I currently have. I wanna scare little old ladies.
Yet another news rumor... motorcycle related

I just did a quick search myself on "motorcycle emission laws" and couldn't find anything recent. All the stuff I found was from 2002 and said basically the same thing. So I don't know if there is anything new coming or not.
Here is the article I found. But it talks about a law from 2002 that sets standards to be met in 2006, 2008 and 2010. But nothing about customs or not changing pipes.
