Yeah, Mox is a girl - lives in Alaska, as mentioned in her website slackeruncensored.com. Pretty cool in my book.

An avatar is a picture that represents you on the forum (see mine on the left) - I think Bio has a selection of avatars, or you can upload your own picture, or you can make your own; or if you are really nice to Bio, he's a demigod with Photoshop and might make you an avatar...

...if I were a guessin' man, most of us had to come up with our own, but we really do love Bio!
