Ha! I stole it first :P It's from the infamous Douglas Coupland novel "Generation X". Read it. Now! Go! You won't regret it. I count it as #1 in my list of books that have changed my life. He coined the phrase "generation x", btw.

Moxie I had no idea you had a passion for Scottish men. 8) I am considering inputting a jpg of myself in my kilt, but I if I remember correctly bio is still trying to look under my kilt to see what I wear under it. So I think I may wait for the remained of the forum to input their personal pics of me first. Those women who are blessed with the opportunity of getting shagged by a Scottsman know why Scottsman wear kilts... ease of access.

He's the one! I read Microserfs, it was excellent. I've read all but maybe two of his books, actually. He's been in my top five authors list for about eight years, and he's been in the top three (at least) since I met him at a book signing. He's damn cool, very funny, friendly and will charm your pants off. And he's Canadian, too!

Yeah, what can I say? Hehe This June is the annual Scottish-Alaskan Highland Games, and there's nothing short of my own death that could stop me from being there. Are you Scottish or of Scottish descent? You should put that pic up! I need to take some new pictures, since I've lost so much weight.

Remember that there are no undesirable women to a Scottsman who has been influenced by the 'water of life.' I am very much Scottish on both sides of my family. My father's side it is suspected where Jacobites and had to flee Scotland after the battle at Culloden. While I am still not a 100% certain of all of my families history I know enough that tartans, kilts, haggis and 25 year old scotch have been a predominant part of my life since its inception.

Jacobites! Cool  I have a Black Watch blanket that my brother brought me from Scotland, and I actually got a little banner with the Scottish flag on it in my Christmas stocking this year.

So Moxie what is your nationality? I think I saw it earlier in another post that you are of French descent? So what is it about Scotsmen that entrigues you... it isn't our pale knobby knees is it?

It is, indeed, French. And the thing about Scotsmen that intrigues me is the accent (of course!). I'm a sucker, I know.

Well mine is not obvious to me, but there are others who notice the occasional intonation or phrase and ask where I am from. Now if I spend time with the inlaws and partake too much of the 'water of life' you would have thought I just stepped out of the Highlands. My friends enjoy when I have spent time with my family because I seem to acquire the accent for a-while which amuses my friends greatly. The on-going joke is how can I pronounce certain words like I do and what is the best way to practice. They enjoy insinuating that my tounge must be getting its practice from somewhere?
