The deal is done...I bought the one in the link I put up previously. I looked at it, its in great shape. They haven't even had the thing on their lot long enough to clean it out.

I had them throw into the cost a new wiring harness (for the 7 pin plug) and a electric brake controller. I found out it does have electric brakes.

I pick it up on Friday.

Sorry, no picts yet...been too busy.

We had a launch to go to over the weekend, and planned to take the trailer on its maiden voyage. Leave time was anticpated to be around 5:30.

Picked the trailer up on Friday...it went something like this.

Arrived at the place at 11am, we had an appointment to wire the van with the trailer lights and electric brakes. Dropped the van with them and took the pickup out to shop for the final things we needed prior to leaving. Finished up around 1:30 and the kid and other half decided it would be best to leave me at the place, and they would return home to finish preperation for leaving.

I hung out until about 2pm when the told me they were running a "bit" behind. Long story short, they didn't finish with the wiring until around 3:30...then they discovered the black water (sewage) tank was full and they had to dump it. The guy doing the wiring left to dump the tank and they had another guy waiting to pick up his trailer. His son had just gotten beat up (knocked out) and he had to take him to the hospital. So we hooked his trailer up and he left. The guy dumping the tank got back about 4:15 or so and we hooked the trailer up to the van. The receiver hitch was only about 3-4 inches off the ground.

Well this wasn't going to work. They wanted $400 for an equalizer hitch, not what I wanted to pay, but it had to be done. Got the hitch, put it on the van and pulled away with enough clearance to be safe. It was 5:15.

I had to pick up my son at the airport at 6:00, so I went directly there. Finally left for Mansfield at about 8:30 pm and arrived at about 11:15pm, set the trailer up and was in bed by midnight.

The gas milage on my van pulling the trailer is about 12mpg...down from the 22-23 I usually get. That just sux, but its worth it for the comfort that the trailer provides.

The rocket launch was just a bunch of fun... :)

When we picked our up in Pasco, most everything went fairly good at the dealership. Took about 4 hours to set the truck up and get everthing hitched and gone over. Headed out of Pasco towing a trailer twice as big and 3 times heavier that I ever drove with.

We stoped at a little rest area half-way to Ritzville to eat and go to the bathroom. Started noseing around the trailer and discovered both tanks were full. Damnit all. There was a dump at the rest area so our first adventure begins. After lining the dump up we got ready to dump, popped open the bumper and gueses what? No friggin hose. I want to know who the hell buy's a brand figgin new RV and steals the old, rat nasty, wouldn't even touch it while on Fear Factor shit hose. No one was around so I figured dump it and wash the pad down with the faucet.

Good God, man. It was the most disgusting stew I ever saw in life. When the blobs quit ploping on the dump pad and the nastieness ceased, I went to turn on the water to wash it down and guess what, NOTHING! WHO THE HELL PUTS A DUMP STATION OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND TURNS OFF THE FUCKING WATER?

After a bit of panic I realized that I hadn't dumped the waste water yet. I pulled the stopper and it worked. Got almost all of it right off. There was only one problem, I think the waste water smelled worse the the shit water. Turned out that the previous owners found it a great idea to wash grease down the drain. When fats sit in water in the middle of the desert in over 100 degree heat all summer long it get very, very rancid.

After that everything went great except when we got to Ritzville and turned East we had a 40 mile headwind for the rest of the way home. Couldn't get going faster that 55mph on the freeway. It also sucked the gas fast. I am guessing around 6-7 per gallon.

Glad to see that you got yours for the most part trouble free, and atleast they dumped it before you went out.

BTW - My equalizer hitch cost around $300 with much shopping and discounts, so $400 from the dealer isn't to bad.
