My Volt recruiter called me today and offered me a temp position at MS as an escalation engineer.
The thing is, she can't tell me what product I will be supporting. It's confidential, the only thing the recruiter would tell me is that i have be to able to be very very empathetic and deal with very upset customers

We just had some of the developers from MS in the shop yesterday. Yeah, longhorn is still quite aways away. Thankfully, so is Yukon.

Well, today was the first day of the new contract.
It's something to do with Xbox, that's about all I can say.
I have a real office, not a cube, which is nice.
My manager is quite cool, very "to the point" which I really appreciate.
This day has flown by and I am quite hungry
I've been dieting and tonight I have my heart set on getting some lobster so I've just had some bread and some V-8.
mmmm.......lobster

Hmmm... let me guess...
You deal with totally pissed off people who modded their xbox to run linux and then made the fatal mistake of leaving their xbox plugged into a hot cable that led to the outside world.
Or... people who modded their xbox, got a copy of Halo2, and suddenly discovered that they can't play live.
Or... people who are just pissed off that they can pay up to $500 for an xbox (I did... but then I got it on day one), but if they make any changes to it, they're fuxored.
It's gotta be one of those!
If it has anything to do with xbox2 (which is totally lame), please send me a demo model so I can pee on it.

you forgot to /rant.
We went to The Crab Cracker for dinner tonight. I ate a 19oz Australian Lobster Tail tonight. It was absolutely scrumptious. It cost 66 dollars and I don't care. I also had a gulf prawn cocktail with some of the best tasting prawns I have ever eaten.
Shaggy had grilled prawns and a caesar salad that were supposedly very tasty.
I brought some of the lobster home for the cats and the kittens tore it up.

Austrailian lobster is okay, but nine times out of 10, I won't order it. I've had the best, and there is just no going back.

I don't eat lobster myself.
It's not a taste thing... it's an ethical dilemma of mine.
Wild lobster is being harvested to the point of extinction. They live to 70 years when left alone, but because of extensive hunting, you're now lucky to find a 5 year old. They should be on the endangered species list, but the government won't allow that because of the large industry built around catching them.
I can't tell a farm raised one from a wild one, so I just elect not to eat them at all.
