War of the Worlds

First and foremost... I hate... HATE Tom Cruise.
But apparently... I can't stand Tom the person... because I'm not so venomous to him as an actor.
War of the Worlds (which came out last week) was brilliant. It was pure non stop action, full of suspense, and the special effects were amazing. Cruise put on a very good performance as a less than perfect father, and Dakota Fanning was absolutely brilliant as his daughter.
Even though everyone knows how the movie will end (with the exception of my wife, who somehow has never seen or heard of the story), it was a very damn good watch.
I give it 4 dancing elephants.
