Sin City

Post by miftah » Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:38 am

Saw it Saturday night. Very, very good film. But I don't want to say more about it for the fact that the only bad part about the whole thing is that the some people won't shut the fuck up about it. And those people regularly ruin films for me.

It's not classic cinema by any stretch, but it is VERY good pulp.

I'm looking forward to seeing this film as well. May try and hit a showing this weekend. Thanks for not ruining it. Glad to hear it is a good flick.

I should clarify that there aren't any real suprises per se, so don't sit there anticipating anything. If you've seen the books, you have a better idea of what you're going to see than you might imagine.

Oh yeah... I remember Sin City.

I got that cassette tape back in 1985. Little Steven and the crew.

Good stuff

I didn't figure there were any huge surprises, and I haven't read the books yet. I think the only Frank Miller book I've read is Dark Knight Returns. May have read others that I didn't know were his. I'm looking forward to the movie though.

Ugh, you should see the Sin City books. You haven't seen his stuff until you've seen them.

Saw it on Friday and enjoyed the hell out of it. The stories were great, the characters were great, I like the way they tied things in together and the women... well what can ya say :)

I'll be buying the DVD and may even see it again on the big screen. Was a little more bloody than I had expected, but it didn't bother me. Just a slight warning for those who aren't into that kinda thing.
