Elektra review

Post by eddiecanuck » Sat Jan 15, 2005 5:23 pm

Well me and a buddy from work took a couple hours yesterday to go see the new Jennifer Garner movie Elektra. He's a big Jennifer Garner fan and I liked the Elektra comic books. Although I must admit I've become a Jennifer Garner fan myself as of late.
Anyway, the movie was... okay. Those who don't know the comics will probably like it a little more than those who do. They softened that character up quite a bit from the comics so I was somewhat dissapointed in that. But she is way better than they showed in Daredevil. She naturally looks hot in the outfit, and they finally got it right in making it at least red. The stunts are great, but the story was way rushed. The movie itself was over in 1:45, including previews and such. They should have taken more time in explaining why she became the way she did between Daredevil and the current movie. For those that don't know, and this isn't a spoiler, she is an assasin for hire. Quite a stretch from her previous appearance in Daredevil. And I could have done without the "love interest" that they always feel they need to put into movies. So for me that made it, okay. If your not a big Garner fan or comic book fan, I'd say wait for the DVD, otherwise try hitting a matenee.
