And yet another friggin' outage!

Post by bio » Wed Jan 26, 2005 2:04 pm

Once again, my Actiontec router proves what a piece of unreliable crap that it is. The server was down all morning because this amazing little steaming pile decided to go down.

I'm going to call my DSL provider and complain about it's reliability issues. Hopefully they'll send me a different one.

There is a crack in my face, and I think it's yours!

That would be it.

I've got a trouble ticket in and he said they're seeing errors when checking the line. He said that when he sees that particular error, it's often the card on the other end of the line (at the phone company). It might require a reset or replacement. This could mean that my Actiontec may not be the issue after all.

I'm still gonna look at replacing it with a Cisco.
