Server downtime - Saturday 08/06/04

I'm going to take the server down around noon tomorrow (7pm GMT) for some maintanance. It shouldn't be down for more than 15 minutes (of course, that's if the damn NIC behaves!).

Just thought I'd letcha know

Just a quick update.

I forgot to do the reboot on saturday (because I was asleep for most of the day... darn drugs). So I did it around 10:30 last night. All went well and the server was only down for a few minutes.

The good news: it appears that rebooting fixed the time problem with the server! Hats off to Jester for all his help on this!

BUT MY REDHEADS ARE GONE AGAIN!!!!!

*sigh*

guess I'll keep working with it the way it is, until my machine crashes and I have to rebuild. pisses me off that I can't figure it out.

good to hear the forum has a pulse again though.

On the subject of the disappearing redheads...

It's gotten to the point where I don't even bother logging in any more as it makes no difference, I don't get redheads any more, so why bother.

However, today, when I saw a post I wanted to reply to, I hit "quote" (without logging in) and that action threw me to the BRHF Index page, and voila! redheads! I then proceeded back to the forum section and did a reply and didn't need to log in.

So that's it. Weird behaviour. Enter the page, no redheads, go to a section, hit "quote" and boom, there they are.

Just another piece to the puzzle
