I ended up staying home alone this turkey day. My aunt's mother was visiting her for the holiday and ended up falling down the stairs at their house. Since my aunt and uncle were to host the dinner, Thanksgiving ended up getting cancelled.
Not really a problem since I have a ton of work to do. Ended up writing the single most sadly beautiful song I've ever written.
Just as I was getting all effected by the mood of the song, I get a call from the girlfriend and she wants to take me out to eat. We go to the local truckstop who is having a processed-turkey buffet. Complete with processed dark and white meats. The best part was the tub of artichoke hearts, which I put a serious hurting on. Delicious.

Bio, you shock me with your supreme display of manliness- totally sexay
You kinda look like Tom Robbins there, too
Our Thanksgiving was a good one. We bundled Enid up and met everyone at my parents house, where my brother was dutifully cooking the meal with Mom's assistance. He made a spiced turkey, apple-sausage stuffing, a bean/bacon/wilted spinage salad, asparagis with almond butter, and creamed carrots/parsnips. Mom made a new version of sweet potatoes with apples baked onto the top of it (even I loved it, and I've hated sweet potatoes and yams since infanthood), and Colin made his deeelicious chocolate-brandy pudding with cookies for dipping. And of course there was the usual mashed potatoes, rice, rolls, gravy, and cranberry sauce (my personal favourite part of every year), along with plenty of wine pouring. Enid and her cousin Jaxx spent the whole day tearing up and down the house, shreiking and giggling and wrestling with Grandpa. It was very Norman Rockwell
