shiggidy shiggidy sweet. It's a little boring right now.

i've gotten over that whole "Wow, everybody is so cool" phase and realized these are the high school kids I just left. Oh well, the older people are cool, they give me nickels when I dance for them.

Overall, college... 8/10 Would attend again A--------

That was pretty much my impression too.

Of course, I had to go and fuck off for 10 years after high school: joined the Army, did dead-end jobs, got married, and had 2 kids before I decided to go to college (the dead end jobs part sucked).

It was funny having people 10 years younger than I, on their first time away from the shelter of home, explaining to me how life worked.

Well, not to sound pretentious  , but that actually pisses me off as well. I've been cooking and cleaning for myself for a long time now, and I get kind of bored by the inconsistency with most people.

Faux war protestors and weekend hippies, smoke pot every day 4/20 woo woo.

Yeah.

So at first I was all excited to meet some women with their shit together, and some friends who were at least a little deeper than the kiddy pool, and then the girl thing pretty much disappeared, and I was just looking for some buddies to play frisbee or something with, and now I really don't care about finding people at all. Strange eh?

I kind of feel like I'm still dodging people from my high school 1,500 miles from home. Some of these people have never seen snow. I'm 3 days minimum from somebody I know for real, and these guys still go home for the weekends. I wonder if anybody here really knows what it's like without help or a backup. That joyous terror of that one big fuckup without mommy to hold me.

I guess that's why I'm doing better in my classes. I ain't bitter though, if people want to hang with me there is no resentment, I'll be 8) about it.

Anyways. That was the summarized history of the last few quarters of my life.

God you two sound so bitter... So judgemental... So perfectly pissy... Hehe

I'm trying to dig myself out of that particularly deep hole, that black pit of resentment that we all face after high school, and once the realization that life isn't what I thought it'd be dawned on me and I got over the fact that we can't all be rock stars, I took off my face mask, and you know what? The world looks pretty good once you let people be who they are.

I'm impressed with all of you. I can't remember anything or anyone from high school. It seems like that was a million years ago.

High school sucked ass straight from the tap.

But then... I wasn't popular. I wasn't un-popular either. I was one of those shadow people who no one will remember by the 20 year reunion (which, by the way, is next year).

Fuck.. I'm old.

I was a total stoner rocker chick, but I test well so I was in all the AP classes with the brainiacs. I can't remember anyone, but people remember me. I feel bad about that. I even had someone here remember me from the third grade. I guess most people don't leave that big of an impression with me, plus so much has gone on since then my brain can only hold so many memories. My 20th won't be until 2006. Not like I will be attending any reunions, my high school doesn't exist anymore.

my biggest high school memory was waiting at home for my parents to return from the parent-teacher meeting.... pretending to be asleep... then getting woken by dad asking me ' what color carpet would you like in the principals office?? '
to which i replied ... ' huh??? '
only to be told that the principal thought i should choose the decor seeing as i spent more time there than he did!!

go figure

and i thought i was well behaved!

I aint bitter!

I wasn't popular, nor un-popular. Much like Tony, I was a shadow student, killing silently and undetected, then making it seem like an accident... errr. I mean...

I just never got along with my own grade. I really got peeved by the fact that it was cool to act like a dumbshit and be ignorant. Maybe you know what i'm talking about, maybe you don't.

I didn't think it was cool either for some of the supposed "smart kids" to act like condescending bitches. I was one who demanded a happy medium of being intelligent and helpful, discussing issues. I wasn't a total nerd, sure I took programming classes but that was only because I was clueless on how to program. I spent more time in the architecture room than anywhere. I played sports, was on good terms with the teachers... blah blah... but still I was seen as one of those angsty kids by the "smart kids" and some dude to fix your computer by the girls and the football players.

I graduated early.

I kind of find college the same way. Everybody is up on skipping classes and smoking pot. I dont get why they're paying 20 grand for this stuff... they could buy a whole lot more pot with that money.
