Post by baldy » Fri Mar 05, 2004 10:29 am

ok. last week was my stepsons cub scouts blue and gold banquet ...

fun was had by all ...

and i learned something quite disturbing...

the highest cub scout honor that can be given is a Silver Beaver ....

i guess there will be a market for ongoing granny porn after all!

We just had my niece's Brownie/Girl Scout Daddy-Daughter dance. Picture about 100 girl's with their dad's at a dance. And it was a luau. It was actually pretty damn cute. I'll post pics later.

Sorry, no Silver Beavers :)

Growing up in the 50's when TV was actually sorta new... you could not imagine a Janet Jackson Boob shot EVER on TV..

The first "DIRTY" comment ever muttered came during an early Leave it to the Beaver Show when June Cleaver announced at the breakfast table, "Oh Ward, you sure were hard on the Beaver last night."

(From their FAQ)

How can I avoid the predictable wise-cracks and giggles when talking about the Beaver?

Yes, I'm sure the producers never envisioned the word "beaver" becoming the slang word that it has. If you want to lesson the chances of someone making the obvious joke when talking about the show in conversation, it helps to use "Beaver" with the full name. Examples: "I'm a fan of Leave It To Beaver", instead of, "I'm a fan of Beaver.", or "That Beaver Cleaver was always getting into trouble.", instead of, "That Beaver was always getting into trouble."
