I would, but it seems kinda pointless unless it'll save us long-distance charges, doesn't it?

It is today, and I was actually just about to post about it...
I just dropped JC off at his doctors office a little while ago. He's having day surgery on his sinus today (in fact, he should be "going under" right about now...). You know how your sinus is broken up into several different chambers, and that sometimes these chambers can fill with fluid, like when you're sick? Well, JC's are severely infected and have been full of fluid for a really, really long time. Probably years. There's only one chamber that is clear. He also has a polyp up there that has to be removed. He always knew he had sinus & allergy issues, but it's gotten gradually worse since before I've known him. He's lucky on a day when his sense of smell works at all. Anyway, it's minor surgery, but I know you guys wuv him, so I thought I'd share.

More on this story as it develops... Back to you in the studio, Mmeowgrl.

I'd join in on the party line, however my PC isn't fast enough for it, and they don't make a mac version.

Alrighty:
So JC was supposed to call me when he was out of surgery and rested, so I could come pick him up. He told me that it took about three hours, which is what his doctor told him. Enid and I went out to run some errands around the time he should have called, so that we'd be ready to go get him at a moments notice. Well, noon rolled around, and then 1pm. I started to get worried. He should have called way before then. So we head over there, and spend about 15 minutes going from floor to floor trying to find the right office before being directed back to the main floor. When we finally found him, he was in post-op, looking awfully tired. The nurses explained everything to me, about how it had turned out to be extensive work needed. Poor JC, he was really out of it. They gave me his prescription and sent me back upstairs to the pharmacy to drop it off. After they watched him for a little while, and he decided he was feeling better, they decided to release him. So I went BACK upstairs to pick up the prescription, and was supposed to go around and get the car ready and warmed up and ready for him. But before I could get to the car, the nurse caught me and brought me back inside because they'd decided to keep him longer- his nasal cavity had started bleeding way too much and his blood pressure had gone up. Needless to say, my stress level yesterday was horrendous. After another half hour, he was fine again. We were sent home. After settling in and getting comfy on the couch, JC needed to change his bandage again (he has a rectangle of gauze constantly taped under his nose, making him resemble, as he says, "Adolph Einstein"). When he took it off, it started gushing into the sink. It looked like the scene of a murder. We rushed him back to the doctors office and Enid and I spend a further hour hanging around in the waiting room while poor JC had his nostrils sucked with a tube and stuffed with padding. The bleeding was from raw areas in the back of his nasal cavity. He sat around and let the doctor monitor him for a while longer, and we were sent home again. This time, everything was fine. He has to sleep in an elevated position, so he fell asleep on the couch, propped up comforatably between several large, cushy pillows with his feet up on an ottoman. I woke up a couple times during the night to check on him, and he woke up several times to take more pain killer. He's sore today, but he's much better.

Careful with the vicodin... don't make any big decisions on that crap.
It can make you highly emotional as well... nothing clears out the smoking area quite like a 215 lb man crying.
