I did a thing

Post by bio » Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:50 pm

I was finally able to get an appointment for my mother-in-law to get the vaccine, so we went down to Deaconess medical center today to make that happen. As we were getting her checked in the nurse asked if I was also getting vaccinated, but I told her no because I had a different insurance company and I needed to go there to do do that. She was not having any of my nonsense, and they immediately put me in the system and got me hooked up.

There's apparently no charge for the service, so there'll be no problem with my insurance company.

On a downside, since I've already had COVID, one of the medical directors who happened to be standing there warned me that I may feel like I'm coming down with it again as my body reacts to the vaccine (it happened to him). He was not wrong. I had a massive headache before I even got home, and after a long nap, I feel pretty cruddy.

But I am thrilled to have gotten the vaccine today! The staff at Deaconess were amazing.

Amazing! Lets get lunch once you're inoculated!
