I'm pretty now

Post by bio » Tue Sep 22, 2020 6:22 am

Because of my (completely rational) fear of catching COVID19, I've been locked down for months, leaving the house pretty much exclusively to get groceries, and doing that crazy early in the morning to avoid others. Sadly, this means that it's been a great many months since I've had a haircut.

Queue my son's girlfriend: an amazing stylist who works at The Man Shop. She came over last night and removed the unwieldy mass of hair from my head with her usual expert precision.

On a side note... if you want to completely plug a Dyson v6 cordless vacuum stick, this is a highly effective way.

How about you? How have you been dealing with this? (Not you, Josh... we know your secret 😂)

My girl sheers the sides and back of my head over some newspaper in the sink. We collect it there then just flush it (not the newspaper, obviously). This was meant to be a stop-gap only solution but it's now developed into a new hairstyle. The top is getting pretty long now. I didn't think I'd ever have long hair again but here we are.

It's a great look on you! I asked my wife to do this very thing, as I was incredibly unsure of my ability to do it in a straight line. She obviously refused. I thought that once I had the basics, I could probably maintain it fairly easily.

I still look mostly the same as I have post mullet (minus the shaved head and various hair colors when it wasn't). It's easy, my wife approves (important!!), and I'm ok with it. It's been 20 years since I've done anything different. Maybe it's time for change.
