And speaking of August 4th....

Post by bio » Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:47 am

Don't forget that today is the last day to vote in the primaries. All ballots must be postmarked by midnight tonight (they don't even require a stamp) or dropped off at one of the many designated ballot drop box sites before the final collection time (which happens to be at 8:00pm tonight).

Voting gives you the right to complain. If you don't vote, don't bitch about how things turn out :)

Please people... do this!

Sent mine out awhile ago. I voted and mailed ASAP.

I was lazy and waited until the last minute. Fortunately, it spurred others in my family who had forgotten to do the same :)

My mother in law has officially voted in the US for the very first time!

Really??
She's never voted before?
I mean, I haven't either, but I have a really good excuse. If I was a citizen, I'm sure I would have voted at least once by now. Maybe not every single election, but for sure some of them.

She claims that she couldn't vote because if she did, she'd lose her ability to move back to Canada. I'm not sure if this is true, but then again... she claims a lot of things. I helped her register because she'd never figure it out on her own.

Her reason for finally registering: she wants to make sure that Trump doesn't get re-elected.

At least we agree on that.
