3D Printing

Post by zzottt » Wed Jul 22, 2020 8:58 pm

Anyone else have a 3D printer?

I got a Prusa i3 MRK3 https://www.prusa3d.com/ recently and its awesome. If nobody else has one, I can post my prints and stuff. I have just been downloading prints but I am going to figure out Blender and design my own as soon as I can.

Some of my favorite resources so far are

I've thought about getting one, but have yet to do so. I know a few people who have them. Some create interesting and useful original items, others just print things they find online to put on their desks (which is why I have several 3D printed items on MY desk).

Hint: Christmas is in only 155 days

YES, hells to the yes... post your projects! It would be interesting to see what you've done! :)

As I told Gooch the other night: if I had a 3D printer, all I'd do is print Donald Trump buttplugs to sell on Etc.

My test printing from yesterday.

This filament is a pain in the ass. So printing that was a big deal for me. Finally found a way to actually print with it. For weeks I have failed to get it to print even one layer.

Today I am printing a phone cover.

That's pretty cool, but it'll make a terrible butt plug. :)

This collapsible and adjustable phone stand is freaking awesome. Printed in place, one print session. Hour and 10 minutes.

Nice!

Practical yet handy. Does it come in wild animal prints? I feel like I dont have enough zebra colored stuff in my life and would like to expand on that.

the plastic PLA takes paint very well. Or you can expand your printer to do 5 filaments which is 5 colors and possibly plastics of different type IDK. I have been trying to take my time to learn all the levels of 3d printing before moding my printer
