With last Tuesday's inauguration, I got curious this morning about how the 2008 election went by county.

Fortunately, the intrawebs have a vast amount of information on just that subject! I found this site which breaks it all down easily if you're interested.



Of course, when viewed like that, one thing becomes glaringly apparent: Republicans tend to be more rural and Democrats tend to be be more urban.

Curious indeed.

It's kinda funny both of these maps match up.

McCain seems to have carried Coeur d'Alene with something of a substantial margin. I wonder why...

I was wondering what that was supposed to represent.

Yes, that makes total sense with my theory of urban vs. rural and voting patterns.
