Heard about this a few days ago. Talk about absurd. Like the article said, now that the film is grossing upwards of 1 billion dollars, now the mayor wants a piece.
If not, then why isn't he going to sue DC comics, or any of the other movie's directors? How do you even sue someone on a different continent? I'm sure there is a way, I just don't know about it. Wonder if there is a town of Superman, or Spiderman?

Does anyone actually believe this will get to trial? Since when is a city's name a binding trademark?

I smell a publicity stunt.

- There is not much corroborative evidence of this, mind you.

I'm waiting for him to sue Mars Corp. for the use of the brand name Kal-Kan...except I think that they don't use that now.
